This year’s Cracker Night Gala took place in 4 venues across the city, inner west and eastern suburbs, and was a sellout hit for 3,200 fans packed into the Enmore (MC Craig Hill), Metro (MC Al Pitcher), Factory (MC Tahir) and the Parade (NIDA) (MC Tom Gleeson) theatres.
The Al Pitcher Picture Show Tour of the World – Al Pitcher is back armed with his camera and a USB stick full of the snaps that have made up his acclaimed Picture Show around the world.
Many of last year’s favourites are returning, plus some new treats, all aiming to “make you laugh so hard that it hurts”.
Al Pitcher is a highly impressive spontaneous observational comedian, and the hook for this show is nothing short of brilliant – walk around the neighborhood during the day snapping photos and talk about them, incorporating universal truths and questions to get to the meat of local quirks, to a local audience that night.
GFI sent 5 questions to some comedians who will be appearing at the upcoming Sydney Comedy Festival (begins on April 27th for 21 days). Our first responder is show-stealer from last year’s Cracker Night Gala night Al Pitcher, who looks to have a likely sellout show again this year with The Al Pitcher Picture Show.
