This is the first instalment in a new GFI feature, the weekly(ish) reports of the highs and lows of a new comic working on his craft and working out the comedy business around Sydney. We are pleased to welcome Joey Del to the GFI team.
Three very different stories from the news this week. The first story is a too-successful prank for promoting a festival show, the second is the festival through the eyes of a TV talent scout, the third is an opinion piece from the annual comedy festival blog from Melbourne’s The Age, which is a sponsor of MICF.
By now many of you will have already had your workplace’s festive night out, and maybe (just maybe) it wasn’t that crash hot watching the office clown do the same routine as for the last five years. So why not go out for a night that you’ll really enjoy, with professional comic entertainers?
The organisers are setting up the teasers for next year’s festival now. Tickets go on sale this Friday 5th December for the big MICF Gala Night. These sell out fast.
