A standup comedy night in aid of The Fred Hollows Foundation featuring a gala line-up of Sydney’s multi-talented, multicultural comics.
This was the Sydney Comedy Festival show my kids begged me to take them to see, based purely on the CD I brought home from the last AoA show I saw. So we went as a family, and we did LOL. […] Lee Naimo’s long-suffering persona must take some sort of prize for most costume effort for a one-liner, Benny Davis’ musical arrangements will strain something if they get any tighter, and Jordan Raskopolous scowled like the devil and sang like an angel.
If you’ve already gone out partying and forgotten to set the recording device, don’t fret! SBS does these things properly, so you can catch up on the episode online over the next week, to ensure you don’t miss a moment of Anh Do keeping some sort of an impression of a leash on Amelia Jane Hunter and Jordan Raskopolous while they look at the world of sport with their special guests.
Sydney Comedy Festival’s sell-out success – the Comedy Store Festival Club Showcase is a show too good to stop. Due to popular demand the showcase extends for another three weeks until Saturday 6 June; with the recent announcement of huge headliners Steve Hughes and Jeff Green.

A Melbourne winter favourite returns for a new season starting June 21st.
I had a high sense of anticipation from a few snatched glimpses, and was certainly not disappointed: her keen sense of the ridiculous and acutely ironic observational skills make for a compelling hour that flies by. Word is spreading – her show had to be moved from the Other Room to the much larger Boiler Room due to ticket demand.
To finish off the festival I had a marathon session with three very different and each very enjoyable shows.
